This gets a little tricky.
People who work hard will surpass their opponents who rely on natural talent. However, that is at first.
Once people reach an elite level of their sport (post-secondary), almost everyone is training properly. This means the playing field becomes level again. Now it comes down to genetic capabilities once again.
However… Once the training and genetics are all the same, skill development and efficiency is what separates athletes.
But! Let’s assume everyone is putting in enough skill development and efficiency. We revolve back around to genetics being the deciding factor.
Let’s assume everyone is equal. The nutrition, sleep and psychological side to the sport are what will most definitely make you better than those with superior genetics.
You can see the pattern here. Genetics will always win if everyone is all taking the proper steps to guarantee success. This is where the joy of athletics comes in. Nobody is perfect. Not everyone does partake in proper training, skills and drills, sleep, nutrition and psychology.
So if you are more on the hard worker side, you are in luck. There are lots of factors dictating success. Factors others neglect.
If you are on the genetically gifted side of things, you are also in luck. Take proper measures and nobody can stop you unless their genetics are superior.
Attention all hockey players who have weak adductors that can’t handle the external rotation during a stride. This weakness on top of poor mobility leads to tons of groin pain from hockey players.
This exercise prevents groin tweaks. You can progress and regress this exercise very easily.
